San ÎÒÒª³Ô¹Ï University once again has proven its commitment to academic excellence and sustainable development globally as its internationalization efforts being recognized by the Commission of Higher Education – International Affairs Service (CHED-IAS) and Regional Office (CHED-NCR). For three consecutive years - 2022, 2023, and 2024, during the Annual ICONS AWARDS Ceremonies - SBU bagged the Internationalization Champion for Nation-Building and Sustainability Award. Moreover, SBU’s exemplary leadership, dedication and initiatives in advancing an internationalization of higher education in the National Capital Region is acknowledged by CHED-NCR on December 6, 2024.
These remarkable recognitions are testaments of the contribution of San ÎÒÒª³Ô¹Ï University to the current state of Philippine higher education on the global stage. Through the continuous efforts in fostering global partnerships, promoting cross-cultural engagement and enhancing the quality and accessibility of Catholic education, SBU has positioned itself as one of the trailblazers in the country’s higher education internationalization initiatives.
At the forefront of these commitments to continue nation-building and sustainable future is the Office of the Rector-President, Rev. Fr. Aloysius Ma. A. Maranan, OSB with the Office of the Vice President for Linkages and International Affairs headed by Prof. Tita Evasco-Branzuela, Ph.D., which remains steadfast in its mandate to cultivate active global engagement, ignite intercultural understanding, and empower students, faculty, administrators, and staff in the realms of academics, research, and community engagement.
San ÎÒÒª³Ô¹Ï University’s drive for internationalization extends beyond its campus as it collaborates with institutions, networks, associations, and organizations within and outside the Philippines, participates in academic exchanges through international mobility programs for students, faculty and staff, and champions research and community engagements with a strong emphasis on the Sustainable Development Goals for our world’s future. These initiatives not only enhance the university’s academic reputation but also contribute significantly to the broader goals of nation-building and sustainable development.
